A great restaurant at a great winery. The pizza is hard to beat - a lot of options for the picky eaters and the more adventurous. The wine list is, of course, top notch ... but they have other options as well, which is really nice. The burger and fries were delicious - a special listed that day. And if you're a wine family member, they'll bring you out a free appetizer. They also gave us these little bread savory "donuts" which were delicious - and they didn't hesitate to bring us more upon asking. Sitting inside was a welcome break from the unusually hot day, but they also have beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the vineyard. This winery, as a whole, has it all (pool, full bar, restaurant, movie memorabilia, views, delicious wine) and this restaurant is just one more reason to stop there.

The building is unique and beautiful. We opted for the 3-course tasting menu, and the service was excellent, with everything served at an appropriate pace. For starters, we selected the caesar salad and the seasonal risotto. The caesar salad was refreshing and dressed to perfection. The risotto was served with a delicious carrot puree and tender short ribs. Moving on to our main courses, we both chose the New York steak, which was magnificent. The char and smokiness gave an amazing flavor throughout. While I would have preferred my meat a bit more rare, the overall cooked temperature was okay. The salsa verde added a flavorful kick, reminding me of chimichurri. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The roasted flavor of the carrots was especially enjoyable, making this dish remarkable. For dessert, we ordered the panna cotta and the chocolate espresso budino. The panna cotta didn't look like much, but it was so smooth and melted in our mouths. The combination of vanilla and strawberry was delightful, with the hazelnut biscotti providing a perfect texture contrast. It was my first time trying budino and it didn't quite suit my taste. The white layer had a salty sour cream flavor, while the brown layer was overly bitter, lacking sweetness. It wasn't bad at all, it's just not something I would personally order again. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, especially the food. I am looking forward to returning in the future!

We went here for dinner and it was raining but I wish we could have had time to walk around the property. It's so pretty with the large staircase from the parking up to the restaurant Rustic. There is an elevator too. You enter the memorabilia room before getting to the restaurant. So many things to see but we were there right before they closed that area so we didn't have time to walk around. Will have to do that next time. Dinner was delicious and the waitress was superb! She was very attentive and took care of our party well. Didn't blink an eye when we requested separate checks too. Her service made the evening even more special. Will recommend the seafood linguine pasta, salt crust branzino, wild mushroom pizza, Cesar salad, and burrata and bread appetizer.

If you find yourself at the Francis Ford Coppola winery, you can't go wrong with a meal at Rustic! My husband and I came for lunch after a tasting upstairs. We had a reservation that we made online in advance, but it wasn't too busy on a Sunday afternoon, we probably could have walked in. The room definitely reflects the Rustic name and is reminiscent of an Italian trattoria - though maybe slightly elevated. We were greeted with some salted fried dough and an appetizer stick with an olive, meat, and cheese. We ordered the meatballs to start - these ended up being my favorite bit of the meal! They had beautiful flavors and the red sauce was wonderful! For our mains, we split a Caesar salad and the oyster mushroom & cippolini pizza. The salad was good, but nothing special and not worth the price in my opinion. The pizza was delicious and the truffle creme franche was a welcomed addition. We ended the meal with an affogato and a limoncello. Both were tasty, though the limoncello was over sweet and didn't really taste like lemon.
